Here’s the problem: The Secretary of the Treasury has their signature PRINTED on all the new U.S. currency. Can you imagine this silly looking autograph on your dollars? The Bureau of Printing and Engraving will likely insist on Lew adapting a more legible signature. This is sort of slightly embarrassing. Lesson learned: try not to have a silly autograph if you expect to hold public office.
